A warm welcome is the only way to describe the ceremony held at Colombo Port on 13th August 2010 to welcome the largest Russian warship ever called in Colombo. A Navy band played music and children were waving Russian Flags. Ladies from the Russian Embassy were waiting with flowers in their hands to welcome the Sailors on board.
Guided missile cruiser Moscow is on a Friendly visit to Sri Lanka. We were welcomed aboard the cruiser to show the fire power in store. On the following day evening a cocktail party was held by the Captain of the cruiser Moscow aboard the ship hosting military officials and civilians in absolute Russian style.
