44th AGM & Dinner Dance

The Executive Committee has decided to hold the AGM on Saturday the 30th October 2010 at 9:00 am at ASLGSC HQ and the AGM Dinner Dance at Kukuleganga Holiday Resort from 7:30 pm onward on the same day. We encourage you to stay at the resort for the night and checkout in the following morning or after lunch as this provides a very good opportunity to meet your friends whom you may not have met probably after you left the university and share with them the old memories. The resort provides a very tranquilizing atmosphere with accommodation in air-conditioned bungalows which have been originally built to accommodate expatriate staff of Swedish firm Skanska which built the Kukuleganga Power Station.

If you want transport to go to Kukuleganga Holiday Resort and back, please let us know. We will arrange a van or a bus which will leave the ASLGSC HQ at 1:00pm on Saturday and start from the holiday Resort at 3:00pm on Sunday. It may cost about Rs. 1000 per person. It may take about 2 hours to reach the Holiday Resort from Colombo.

There are 1, 2, and 3 roomed bungalows. If you wish to stay in one bungalow say, with your batch mates or roommates of your university days, please make a group reservation for a whole bungalow. Children can share the parent’s room without an additional cost for accommodation. No extra beds are available.

You can purchase breakfast and lunch tickets from the office as you check in. Please don’t remit money to the Association for it. We appreciate if you could complete the form below and return before 27th August for us to reserve bungalows in advance. You may also download it form www.aslgsc.org . You may remit your money until 15th October by depositing in favour of ASLGSC account no. 167 1001 431 70383 at Peoples Bank, Town Hall Branch. Please write your name in the deposit slip and ask the cashier to include in the transfer message.
