About Us
ASLGSC was established in November 1966 by the very first graduates who arrived in Sri Lanka after qualifying from Socialist Countries.
Though the numbers of graduates who have been members of the organization have been very vast the number of members in the membership rolls is around 800.
In 1990 the Association established its office /social club in its own property at Pelawatta, Battaramulla, Sri Lanka. Since then members have been regularly meeting in Saturday evenings. A special feature is the Dinner given by a roster of members on the last Saturday of every month.
The Association of Sri Lankan Graduates from Socialist Countries was established in 1966 by Sri Lankans who returned after pursuing higher studies in the former Republics of the Soviet Union, Eastern European Countries, Peoples Republic of China and Cuba.
